Unused Graphics
Title Screen
An alternative version of the title screen with multiple differences from the finished version, mainly for the logo.
School Exterior Graphics
There are two unused closeup shots of the outside of the school. Presumably, these would've served as a transition when the player clicks on the door to enter the school.
Classroom Graphics
Closeups
Some unused closeup shots of the bookshelf and the mouse hole.

Alternative Sprites
A few sprites for objects in the classroom, with relatively minor differences from their in-game counterparts.
Image | Description |
---|---|
An alternative sprite for the aquarium tank. Its filename is FANNY.BMP, which correlates to an unused audio file that mentions "Fanny the Frog", though oddly this seems to depict a turtle instead. The turtle and the outline around the rock are both missing in the final version. | |
An alternative sprite for the television. The final version is green and has buttons and dials. | |
An alternative sprite for the VCR. The final version is blue and has buttons. |
Reading Minigame Graphics
These graphics are for each book's table of contents which display icons for each individual story. In the finished game, the icons are arranged so that there are an even number of icons on each page. These alternative graphics put as many icons as can fit on the left page (up to five), leaving the right page with less icons than the left.
Hallway Graphics
Some unused animation frames of doors opening, and more unused closeup shots.
Scrapped Areas/Minigames
Recycling Area
One of the game's resource files, RF001.RSC, contains an image for a recycling room that isn't seen or mentioned at all in the finished game. Presumably, this was intended to be part of a recycling-themed minigame.
TV
An unused background for the television in the classroom. In the game, clicking on the TV from the classroom screen causes a single animation to play, but it can't be interacted with beyond that and is never seen up close. This full-sized background seems to indicate that it would've originally had its own minigame of sorts, or perhaps simply allowed the player to watch different videos.
Aquarium
An unused background for the aquarium tank seen in the classroom. In the game, it only plays a single animation of a frog jumping onto the rock from the classroom screen, and is never seen up close.
Miscellaneous
A mock-up image for the cash register minigame showing where the numbers should go.

Oops, you can't type that character. | A warning not to type certain characters when entering the player's name. None of the keys seem to trigger this dialogue. | |
Do you really want to delete that player? | A confirmation for deleting a player from the list. In-game, the Alt+D keys must be pressed to delete a player, after which Frankie only says "Type that character again to delete the player." | |
Click there to delete the player. | Two lines implying there would've been buttons for deleting or keeping a player. As mentioned above, the only way to delete a player is to hold the Alt+D keys, so there's nothing to click on. | |
Click there to keep the player. |
Classroom
In the original release, CI.TLK contains a set of unused classroom dialogue for Mrs. Flores that instruct the player where to click to find minigames. In-game, she has a few voice lines instructing the player to click on specific places (ex. "Click on the paintbrush to paint a picture"), but these voice lines don't specify any areas, and all simply begin with "Click there". Some of her lines are also for features that ended up not making it into the final product. These voice lines were also removed in some later re-releases of the game, since they weren't used.

Click there to visit Fanny the Frog. | A line pertaining to the aquarium tank in the classroom. This is another case where this area was likely originally intended to have more interactivity, like the TV. It also reveals that the frog in the classroom would've been named Fanny, something not mentioned at all in-game. | |
Click there to see the rest of the school. | A line intended for the classroom door, which leads to the hallway. | |
Click there to go back outside. | A line indicating the player would've originally been allowed to return to the front of the school. This area can only be accessed at the start of the game, but once the player has signed in, there's no way to return to it. |
Music in the Mouse Hole
A few unused lines for Frankie mention a "magic music game", which sounds like it would've functioned like Simon Says. No such mode appears in-game.

To play the Magic Music Game, just listen to the notes that the mice play. When they stop playing, repeat the tune by clicking on the right mice. |
Master Memory Game
In-game, the player is only ever asked to match pictures to their names, but there is some unused dialogue for different modes.

Serving Up Fractions
There is dialogue for Frankie saying the name of each kind of food, but only the kids say the names of the food when they ask for them.
Adding It All Up
Frankie has various dialogue for the cash register minigame even though he doesn't appear in it at all. This includes Frankie saying the name of each kind of food, which is instead spoken by the cash register in-game.
Frankie also has some other assorted dialogue pertaining to instructions or winning the game.

Vending Machine Victory
In-game, Frankie always asks for three items from the vending machine, but there is dialogue for him asking for anywhere from one to five items.
Revisional Differences
Some later re-releases of the game, such as version 1.4, completely redubbed Frankie's voice lines. His newer voice is higher-pitched and bit less lispy than his original voice. Interestingly, this wasn't a case of recasting, as the original voice actor Tony Pope voiced Frankie in both the original version and later releases. The list below shows a few audio examples.
